Star Awards Show 2 results part 3: Joanne Peh off to LA for meet-the-parents session

After bagging a Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award last night, Joanne Peh revealed that she will be jetting off to Los Angeles for both work and private matters.

The jubilant birthday girl whose name was announced last for the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award revealed that she will be jetting off to Los Angeles later today for a mixture of purposes which includes a work-related meeting and a meet-the-parents session with Bobby Tonelli's parents.

"I was not nervous [for the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes Award] at first but the male actors beside me -- who were egging me on, made me very stressed and nervous!" the amused one exclaimed at the post-party interview with xinmsn.

On her thoughts of Jesseca Liu's impending departure and Felicia Chin's cryptic words, Joanne professed that she still has "a strong interest" in acting and said that that she "will still remain in the entertainment industry."

The one-time Best Actress Award winner added that she "would like to try different types of show genres" and revealed, "I am currently in the midst of discussing some movies and scripts. If it all works out, I would like to try my hand in acting in movies."

The cat was let out of the bag when Joanne was quizzed on her plans to celebrate her win. After revealing about her traveling plans to Los Angeles, she confessed, "Actually I'm going there to meet with a director to discuss about a film script, and at the same time, go on a holiday."

After further probing, she admitted that her American actor boyfriend, Bobby Tonelli, will be traveling with her and revealed that she will be meeting with his parents "for the first time" during this trip.

She hastily added, "Don't worry! I won't be getting married on-the-sly! Everyone is getting married at Las Vegas, it's so uncreative and I won't be doing the same thing!"

In preparation for her first meet-the parents' session with Bobby's folks, Joanne has thoughtfully prepared a handmade 3D jigsaw puzzle globe for them. As Bobby's parents have never been to Asia, she hopes to bring a part of it to them in the form of the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
