Tipped to be a winner at next year's Star Awards, this new 30-episode melodrama stars Jeanette Aw as a Straits-Chinese girl who, being despised for her lowly background, puts her talent to good use and masters the art of Peranakan cooking. She also has to endure countless ordeals before finding her true love (Qi Yuwu). Joanne Peh co-stars as her cousin-cum-competitor in this 1940s period piece. Felicia Chin has a small part as the granddaughter of Jeanette's character.
Remember, the debut episode of "Little Nyonya" (小娘惹) debuts tonight at 9 pm ;-)
