7-Princess Era officially over

To all fans of the 7 Princesses, I have good news and bad news...

Firstly, the good news... to all Jolliteers, you will ba delighted to know that Joanne Peh graces the cover of i-weekly no. 636. She looks absolutely stunning, the pictures inside are equally fabulous. :-)

Now for the bad news... it is reported in this week's copy of i-weekly (no. 636) that the 7-Princess Era has officially ended as of now, it was a decision made by the editors of i-weekly, who have given the group of the 7 beauties this moniker in mid 2007. "About time to move on", it is quoted.

Reasons being:
1) some of the Princesses (most particularly Jesseca and Dawn) have not been making much of an impact, and their popularity seems to be dipping since 2009.
2) some of the Princesses are in danger of being stereotyped.
3) The only Princesses who have 'promoted' into Ah Jies are Jeanette Aw and Joanne Peh, since the 2009 Star Awards.
4) And not to forget the sudden disappearance of Fiona Xie since July 2009, then she re-surfaced in 8 days and i-weekly during the 1st week of December, only to confess that she has quit from MediaCorp and is now located in Hongkong with her (younger) boyfriend, and will only work on a ad-hoc project basis.

In spite of this piece of sad news, this blog will still be in operation for the next few more months, we will continue to post up news of the remaining 6 Princesses, as well as announcements for upcoming dramas or live programmes featuring any of them. We will still continue with the 6-Princess polls as per normal. And we will not change the name of this blog.

Even though the 7-Princess moniker has been disbanded, we hope you continue to support your respective Princess(es) like you always do. Thank you very much.
