Judging from the turnout at the recent 8 days Celebrity Car Boot Flea Market, it was anything but gloom and doom for shopaholic, sun-kissed Singaporeans. A fleet of over 50 cars transformed the Playground at Big Splash into one big outdoor shopping heaven hawking everything under the sun: shoes, toys, antique cameras, books, jwellery, and even lingerie and manicure services.
Lending the event considerable star power were Felicia Chin, Fiona Xie, Elvin Ng (remember his kissing-for-charity gig last year?), Nat Ho, Jessica Tan and Zhang Yaodong who were on hand to leong off their donated wares, sign autographs and have their pictures taken with fans for $10. The celeb booty hauled in $3,361 and Felicia added her own icing on the cake by arriving in a swimsuit- albeit hidden beneath an oversized T-shirt (ssssssmokin'!!).
The event netted a total of $6580 which 8 days will be donating to the Rainbow Centre Balestier School.
