A Star Studded Countdown Extravaganza!
For the first time Channel 5 holds a Countdown Show at the Marina Bay!
The Marina Bay Singapore Countdown will be a star studded event set against the fantastic view of the Singapore skyline and a colorful display of fireworks. A stellar line-up of homegrown celebrities come together for a spectacular show and countdown with the nation to usher in 2009. Join celebs Gurmit Singh, Michelle Chong, Fiona Xie, Utt, Andrea Fonseka and Ash from By Definition!
Leading up to the event, Ch5 collaborates with The Esplanade to join in activities like the signing of the Wishing Spheres and video dedications. Get mesmerized by 8 minutes of fireworks display and witness 10000 wishing spheres released into the water at the stroke of midnight. It will be an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration!
The Countdown show will be broadcast Live on MediaCorp TV Channel 5 from 10:30 pm to 12:15 am.
