2009 年 7 公主谁最抢眼 Which 7 Princesses dazzle most?

Judging from the 1st half a year release of the Ch 8’s upcoming dramas in 2009 (see i-Weekly, Ch 8 website and xin.sg for details), I checked out on titles with any of the 7 Princesses in them and presenting to you the updates:

Joanne Peh will be in ‘The Little Nyonya’ at the beginning of the year. From November onwards, she will be your regular face every night in the 180-episode drama ‘Your Hand in Mine’.

Felicia Chin is doing very well starting the year with a short but important role in ‘The Little Nyonya. After that, she will be in the super-mega-all-attention focused drama with Zoe Tay and Fann Wong - ‘The Ultimatum’ from May 2009. She will romance with newcomer Zhang Zhen Huan from Ch U's 'U Are the One' fame.

Dawn Yeoh will be in ‘The Dream-Catchers’ and like Joanna Peh, she will become another regular face on Ch 8 for a long time in the same 180 episode drama starring Chen Liping in the lead role. For fans who can't wait, you get to see Dawn in a lead role opposite Tay Ping Hui in the next 9pm drama 'Crime Buster X2' after 'Daddy Nanny' end of this month.

Jeanette Aw is of course the biggest star in ‘The Little Nyonya’. I don’t see any confirmed cast list with her name yet in 2009…then again, with a role this big in 'the Little Nyonya', I expect to see a very different Jeanette in many shows to come....

Rui En plays an engineer in ‘The Dream-Catchersand that’s all for now. By the way, she will play an AIDS worker with ahem...AIDS in the forthcoming drama 'By My Side' with Zoe Tay, Chen Han Wei and opposite Elvin Ng end October this year.

Jessica Liu plays an important role in 'the Dream Catchers' which will be shot in Hokkaido, Japan.

But Fiona Xie is not listed in any of these dramas with confirmed cast yet. Don’t panic, fans of Fiona…It is still too early to lay claims that those with more dramas are ‘more-treasured’ or ‘被力捧’ (no such thing).

I know of two dramas – Table of Glory (about table tennis players) and My School Daze (about teachers) between April and May telecast which have yet to confirm their cast lists. Maybe, Fiona will be cast…or maybe other Princesses continue to dominate these two dramas as well…

It’s only 1st half of 2009’s dramas, so for fans of 7 Princesses, there’s still chance to see your favorite Princess being cast… After 'The Ultimatum' starring Zoe and Fann in May, there are 6 more 9pm dramas to December 2009 (excluding the 2 dramas with no cast in April/May) which have yet to cast anyone... The above are correct at blog time. There maybe changes in cast or roles as these productions are still many months from now...will update when I hear about new changes....
