Thinking she is drunk, Kaijie tries to push Lin Fei down. He is stunned when she suddenly becomes sober. She had set the situation up to test him because she had heard what he said to Jin Long on the yacht and wanted to prove he loves her money more than her.
Kaijie tells Lin Fei he had tried hard but never won her heart. He feels he deserves to get her money. Lin Fei is willing to kill herself to repay him, but he stops her upon learning from the doctor that she is pregnant.
Lin Fei is not happy about her pregnancy. Jin Long turns up and takes her away. She urges him to run away from Kaijie, but he is determined to question Kaijie about Rougu-mei and find her.
When Kaijie denies everything, Jin Long is so upset that he kicks Lin Fei till she bleeds. Jin Long learns that Lin Fei is pregnant. He stops her from harming herself. She tells him that he can never defeat Kaijie because he is not ruthless enough.
Kaijie agrees to exchange Rougu-mei for Lin Fei. He asks the police to set up an ambush, but Lin Fei helps Jin Long escape.
Lin Fei is hospitalised, and her baby is found to be safe. A seriously injured Jin Long goes into a coma. Ah-Lin takes Jin Long in and gets Kaida to tend to his injuries. Kaida nurses Jin Long back to health.
Rougu-mei's body is found in the wilderness. She was killed by Kaijie. Jin Long confronts him, but Kaiqi and Kaida manage to persuade him to let Kaijie off. Kaijie escapes by going overseas.
Three years pass. Xiao-gu decides to sell the restaurant and donate the proceeds to charity.
